AERO Gate Success Counter
CHARLESTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
AERO Systems Engineering is wrapping up the Airside Planning and Design Development Package for the Charleston International Airport – Terminal Redevelopment & Improvement Project. This project includes a major re-development and renovation of the existing terminal facility. We have been tasked with optimizing the airside gate operations for today’s aircraft as well as the Nex-Gen aircraft of the future. This project includes all fixed ground-support gate systems and equipment as well as a evaluation of the existing passenger boarding bridges to determine the most cost effective approach for the project, whether that be re-use, relocation, refurbishment or replacement.
LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
AERO BridgeWorks has begun the installation of 13 new passenger boarding bridges (PBBs) at T5 at LAX. This project which also includes new PBB foundations and upgrades to the Pre-conditioned Air central system is being closely coordinated with the seasonal peak flight schedules with a multi-phase construction schedule. This allows uninterrupted aircraft operations for the carrier throughout this two year project.
AERO Systems Engineering has been awarded two new exciting projects.
HARTSFIELD JACKSON ATLANTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The first project is for the City of Atlanta Department of Airports. The project, Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport – Concourse T North Expansion Project will expand the existing 7 gate north concourse to 10 gates within the limited existing airside foot print. This is another example of our creative airside planning maximizing concourse aircraft operations within the tight constraints of an existing facility. With this project AERO Group has now provided our services at all of the 207 gates at the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. at least once, and we have re-configured many gates several times to meet the ever changing needs of the industry over the last 15 years.
DELTA AIR LINES MULTI-CITY PROJECT
The second project is for our long time client Delta Air Lines. We have been trusted with the Mainline Aircraft Expansion Project for 41 mainline stations across the country. This planning, survey and design includes the challenge of increasing the fleet type ratios per gate while minimizing loss of gates based on their latest fleet changes.
AERO BridgeWorks has rolled up their sleeves and is providing the construction for these two fast track projects which are key to Delta’s expanded service.
DELTA JFK TERMINAL 4 CONCOURSE B BLDG EXTENSION
The project includes a new 375,000 sf extension to Concourse B at Terminal 4. It also includes 9 new gates and renovation work in the existing Concourse. AERO BridgeWorks is providing the installation of the 9 new Passenger Boarding Bridges, 400hz, and PCA for JBT Aerotech.
DELTA LGA CONCOURSES C AND D – AIRSIDE RECONFIGURATION PROJECT
AERO BridgeWorks with AERO Systems Engineering is providing the design and construction of all airside components to support Delta’s expansion from 10 gates on Concourse D to 28 gates located on Concourses C and D. The scope of work includes multiple bridge relocations, deep pile foundations, asphalt replacement with concrete, ADGU relocations, installation of WiFi antennas, and ramp striping.
