Airports, airlines, architects, manufacturers and general contractors have relied on AERO BridgeWorks (ABW) for over 20 years to safely construct their specialty airside projects on time and on budget. Working coast-to-coast at multiple airports simultaneously, ABW knows how to keep your operations running while we improve your passenger boarding and fixed ground-support systems.
Additionally, ABW partners with AERO Systems Engineering to offer complete engineering, design and construction services. Our design-build project delivery optimizes your budget and operations.
ABW was the prime general contractor on this project, which included the removal of the original gates and walkways, pouring of new foundations, setting new gates and walkways, new electrical infrastructure, installing new PCA and GPU systems, and all civil site construction.
ABW has been working at LGA since the 1990’s in several capacities. This particular project included airside scope to support the expansion from 10 gates on Concourse D to 28 gates located on Concourse C and D. The scope includes bridge relocation, deep pile foundations, asphalt replacement with concrete, ADGU relocations, and ramp striping.
ABW was the prime design-build general contractor for the replacement of 157 aircraft docking guidance units with an advanced visual docking guidance system unit for Delta Air Lines at Terminals A, B, C, D, E, F, and T. This project included all necessary electrical/communications upgrades, breakers, ramp striping, and VDGS installation.
ABW has completed several projects at MEM. For the Concourse B Modernization, ABW was the prime contractor, completing all airside scope including 25 new gates, PBB refurbishments, site civil, apron paving and hydrant fueling. This was a significant multi-year project that consolidated 75 gates with PBBs spread across 3 Concourses to a final 39 gates on Concourse B.
ABW was selected by the Construction Management at Risk Joint Venture, Hunt Gibbs-Boh Metro, to procure, furnish and install Passenger Boarding Bridges and Fixed Walkways for 29 new gates. ABW maintained project schedule and installed 10 PBBs per month. During pre-construction services, ABW saved CMR over $2M of equipment and moved ahead of schedule.
